In '64-'65 shared apt w/ Sue Walters. made my 1st NYC trip for her wedding and still love NYC! I spend 2 wks/yr at her home & Ocean City on MD E. Shore -swim-boat-clean&eat crabs and sip.
After WHS, still at McAlpins, went nites to UC. In '63 worked at Cinti Zoo as PR Asst-saw every opera for 3yrs and still get freebies for Music Hall! After 1yr at Uncle Al Show as Pgm Coord and 2yrs at UC night school, left for 2 yrs of 'hippiness' at Ohio U. Worked at Fine Arts Library & a summer job in Germany, 3 wks on Eurail...a WOW memory!
In '68 CoSp-USAFA for bro Mark's grad & wedding, followed by bro Mike's 2 yrs later. My spirit took me from CO to CA-San F, LA and burrowed in Westwood. Back to Cinti, BusMgr-WXIX-TV and married a Director. After kids & 7 yrs I was a single mom, parents moved to Greece for 2 yrs, and my therapy was 26 yrs 'letting it go' in musical community theatre! Worked in marketing/ advertising: Creative/Print Director at local CocaCola agency and 3 yrs at Mayor's office. Had 8 yrs w/a great guy who passed in '88...and so it goes.
In '94 after 2 yrs of 'empty nesting' I left great job as Production Mgr for 'rag' publisher. Moved back to ColoSpgs, worked @USAFA rec area in mtns-shorts, fishing, 2+ft snow and grumpy old men...lived in Manitou Springs-spiritual, hippy @foot of Pikes Peak...and in '11 I'm back! Sold Cinti house in '02, back to CoSp to oversee mom's care w/bro til she left in '10. I work for large senior agency and volunteer.
NO humidity is good, but i'm ready to move on wherever! I travel/trek a lot. 2004..Tres & I joined son in Belgium, drove to Paris for 3 nites in free L.Bank apt, thru Mt Blanc tunnel for 3 days w/ la famiglia nr Torino, onto Venice, AUS,GER, 2 wks later Brussels & home! SCOTLAND is next to find mom's roots...all who wander are not lost! :D
