Dick was truly one of the characters of our graduating class.  His father owned a welding shop in Norwood where Joe Heimbach currently has his business.  It was here that he put together his Oldsmobile powered Ford sedan that he would terrorize the circle in front of Woodward.

Dick was an avid golfer and was a star on the Woodward golf team.  He moved from Cincinnati to Colarado and then on to Nevada.  He lived in Reno when he attended the 25th reunion and then moved to Laughlin, near Las Vegas.

I talked to an old neighbor and friend of his today and he related that the last time he heard from Dick that Dick was dry and had been for some time and was really proud of being able to shed that demon.

He received a call from Dick's brother shortly after this conversation that Dick had gone in for a back operation and had a major heart attack.

I am sure that those who knew Dick remember him well and can relate many stories about him, some good and some bad, but at heart he was a good guy and should be remembered for the good.
